Come visit this charming little town, once one of the most developed cities in Mexico thanks to its mining boom—and the second town in the country to have electricity!
Today, it’s a quiet municipality where red and white walls, cobblestone streets, and adobe houses with red-tile roofs seem frozen in time. Its rich history, legends, and traditions earned it the title of Pueblo Mágico (Magical Town) in 2011.
Some visitors say the highlight of this tour is the breathtaking scenery, surrounded by lush vegetation and majestic mountains. Others love the artisanal tequila tasting, the opal mine store, the local cuisine, the charming walk-through downtown, and even spotting coffee, walnut, and avocado trees along the way.
This tour stands out not only because it’s gay-friendly and offers group discounts, but also because you’ll have the chance to rent an ATV (for 2 hours) to explore the famous Bufa Peak or other nearby attractions such as the botanical garden or gotcha field—something many travelers wish they had time for on other San Sebastián tours!
